ZIN is Zumba Instructors Network

23 Oct

Our Zumba classes are inching along at Advent. Very enjoyable but I sense that we all, students and instructor, are discovering some fun and fitness together; something we hope to master as the months move on. I love the latino music, which ranges from Caribbean, Reggaeton, Mexican, Colombian, Brazilian (anything in Latin America or South America) plus some flamenco from Spain. ZIN encourages us to develop our own personal style and preferences within the ZUMBA formula: 70% latino: 10-15 minutes warm up / cardio choreographed dances of many styles / closing with 5 minutes cool down. I usually have a liturgical worship dance and prayer to close. We leave feeling energetic and pumped-and in need of a shower!

I’m excited to have discovered a tutorial for something I am trying to add! The country line dance from the new FOOTLOOSE movie! We won’t be wearing boots in our ZUMBA class, but we will get those moves down!

Google: Dance Ya’ll   – for the tutorial!

Here is what I’m talking about:
